The Psalms are contained in Scripture not only for an accounting of the fact that God’s people are a singing people but for us to “find ourselves in the Psalms” as we read of the various ways that they communicated their hopes and fears, their joys and discouragements, their praises and curses. Let the words of these songs towards God become the lyrics of your heart as you call out to Him in alignment with the heartbeat of His people.
